Report a Claim without delay by contacting your GNK Representative by telephone as soon as you are aware of an incident that may give rise to a claim. We will record all the details that are available and immediately inform your Insurance Company. As your Insurance Broker, our job is to assist you in the claims process. When can you expect an adjuster to contact you?
Your Insurance Company will make every effort to contact you within 24 hours. In cases involving major loss and emergency, they will contact you within an hour or so. When a high volume of claims are received, such as weather related damage, claims are prioritized and the most urgent cases are called first. What can you do to expedite your claim? Quickly provide your Adjuster with police reports, witness names, and all other documentation required for claims assessment. Complete all necessary forms accurately and in full, particularly lists of property lost or damaged, and proof of loss forms. Above all be honest, forthright and cooperative with your Adjuster.
Will a claim affect my premium on renewal?
Many factors will enter into the question of whether or not to present a small claim. Your GNK representative is equipped to help you with this decision.
