Unfortunately you have just suffered a loss. Your claim has been assigned to an adjuster by your Insurer.

In the event of fire or other serious damage, you will hear from the adjuster immediately. For more common claims such as theft losses, you should recieve a call within 24 hours and have a Proof of Loss form sent to you.

Ultimately, the adjuster will assist in the completion of a Proof of Loss, but this involves preparation of detailed descriptions of all items involved in your claim, in addition to which, the following may be required:

  • Purchase Invoices
  • Manuals, instruction booklets, etc.
  • Credit Card Receipts
  • Pictures

Pictures are especially important for unusual items such as; antiques, collectibles, fine arts, unique jewellery or any other property which may be difficult to describe in the absence of a recent expert appraisal.

At all times, your adjuster should be courteous and helpful in adjusting your claim. If the adjuster is not....WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Remember - be prepared by locating important invoices, reciepts, etc. and taking pictures before a loss occurs to AVOID THE CLAIMS HASSLE.
